Capital Funding Updates

December 19, 2022

As 2022 comes to a close it’s been a busy few months here at CCO. In the run-up to December our team has been busy preparing a variety of funding bids for our clients for a wide range of projects including boiler replacements, building extensions, roof refurbishment, fire safety works, and window replacements, etc. There has been a particular emphasis this year on projects which will assist in reducing carbon emissions and consequently reduce energy bill costs.

On behalf of our clients, CCO has submitted funding bids to both the Education & Skills Funding Agency as part of the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) 23/24 funding round. We have also submitted bids to a number of different Dioceses as part of the School Condition Allocation (SCA) 23/24.

As energy prices continue to rise the Government announced in December 2022 an additional £500m of capital funding for schools and colleges to spend on energy efficiency upgrades to help schools save on bills and reduce energy consumption. We are now actively working with our clients to identify how this vital funding can be used most effectively to improve energy efficiency dependent on the school’s environmental sustainability estate strategy.

If you would like to find out more about how CCO can work with your school or academy to secure vital capital funding and improve the energy efficiency of your school estate then please contact our team.
