Cowan & Co are proud to have submitted a record number of Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) bids to the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) on behalf of our clients for the 2018/19 CIF bidding round. A high proportion of these bids are from our repeat clients, many of whom we have secured funding for year on year. As in previous years Cowan & Co have prepared CIF bids for a wide range of projects such as;
- Health & Safety; including asbestos removal & safeguarding
- Roofing/fabric/window refurbishment and replacement
- Refurbishment of teaching & non-teaching facilities such as science laboratories, toilets & kitchens
- Boiler and heating system replacements
- Electrical rewiring
- New fire protection systems
- Replacement of whole teaching blocks and/or modular buildings
- Expansion projects
The 2018/19 CIF bidding round also included additional funding as part of the Health Pupils Capital Fund (HPCF) funded through the Soft Drinks Industry Levy. Cowan & Co submitted a number of applications on behalf of our clients under the HPCF to improve and increase access to facilities, which enhance pupil’s physical and mental health and wellbeing.
