Major Window Replacement Project Successfully Completed

February 16, 2021

Our major window replacement project at Liverpool College has now been completed. The project began on site in late September 2020 and has been successfully completed despite the challenges posed by undertaking a construction project during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The project has been funding through the Condition Improvement Fund, following a successful bid submitted on behalf of the school by Cowan & Co as part of the 2020/21 CIF bidding round. Funding announcements were slightly delayed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic meaning it was not possible to commence the works on site during the summer holiday period. Through liaising closely with the main contractor and the client the works were able to be successfully carried out during term time. The new double glazed aluminium windows have greatly improved the thermally efficiency of the school building and have also ensured that a greater ventilation rate is achieved within the teaching environment due to the larger opening lights.
