Sixth Form Centre Trinity High School, Manchester

About project

Type:  New Build

Value:  £3m

Completion:  2015

CCO were appointed by the Governors of Trinity High School to prepare a feasibility study and bid for funding from the Academies Capital Maintenance Fund, now known as the Condition Improvement Fund. Capital funding to expand the school’s facilities and create a new sixth form centre was successfully secured from the Education & Skills Funding Agency in April 2014.

The new sixth form centre has enabled this successful Manchester academy to continue the education of its students post-16. The new building boasts; state of the art science labs, IT suites, classrooms all equipped with interactive whiteboards, learning resource areas, cafe, study/social space, outdoor games area and seating.

The sixth form centre sits separately to the main school building and is therefore instantly identifiable as the new sixth form centre. The combination of modern facilities and contemporary building design creates an exciting learning environment, which consequently aids in encouraging pupils to continue their studies at the school through to sixth form.

“Cowan & Co carried out a first class job on behalf of Trinity High School & I would recommend Cowan & Co without reservation.” Head teacher, Trinity High School
