Project Handover at BRGS

Cowan & Co have recently completed two major projects at Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar School in Rossendale, Lancashire. Funding for both projects was secured by Cowan & Co following two successful Condition Improvement Fund Bids to the Education & Skills Funding Agency.

The first project involved the completion of roof refurbishment works to the main school building which dates back to 1913. The project involved the renewal of the existing lead flashings, valleys, soakers and aprons, provision of new underfelt and insulation and replacement of damaged slate roof tiles.

The second project recently completed is a new two storey dining room extension which has transformed the school’s existing dining facilities and has provided ample new seating areas for students to eat, socialise and study.
