Summer Holiday Projects

The CCO team is currently working on a wide range of building projects for schools and academies throughout the north of England. The summer holiday period is a crucial time for undertaking building projects which cannot be accommodated during term time when pupils are on site. These projects include;

• Roof refurbishment
• Window & door replacements
• Building fabric repairs
• Internal refurbishment and remodelling works
• Fire safety works
• Fire alarm replacement
• Boiler replacements
• Electrical safety/rewiring
• Replacement LED lighting
• Mechanical ventilation installation
• Construction of modular building
• Toilet refurbishment projects
• Drainage repairs
• Safeguarding

Many of the summer holiday projects CCO is currently working on have been funded via grant funding which CCO also helped to secure. CCO has secured grant funding from the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) and School Condition Allocation (SCA) from Diocese Boards of Education.

CCO also assists clients in utilising other sources of funding for building projects including Devolved Formula Capital (DFC) funding and self-funded projects. We also assist multi-academy trusts in allocating their SCA funding towards building projects across their school buildings and estates.

Now is the ideal time for schools and academies to start planning for their next funding bid(s) and/or prospective building projects. We can assist in the development of short, medium, and long-term goals which then form the basis for future funding bids and building projects.
